A little more about LABM and typewriters.....
LOS ALTOS BUSINESS MACHINES evolved from "Los Altos Typewriter Store". The business was solely a typewriter retail and repair shop and has been a family owned business ever since its establishment in 1967. We continue to service and repair all brands of typewriters.
IBM Selectrics were the big sellers, selling for a whopping $600-1200.00!! Many years ago, LABM purchased Moody Business Machines, and then subsequently took over for FW Bacchus.
We have sold and repaired machines for customers from Hawaii to New York.
Typewriters are our history, and will always be one of our passions.
The Collectible Typewriters we sell are all completely refurbished, guaranteed and in excellent condition, but we refuse to overcharge for them as some antique dealers will.
